Public Safety:

Group 14621 assists residents with organizing block clubs, neighborhood watch and other improvement efforts. Resident initiatives supported by Group 14621 include community gardens, civilian patrol (PAC-TAC) recruitment, CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) coordination, and neighborhood celebrations and Conkey Cruisers. We are working with other partners and neighborhood residents to develop a pedestrian and bike trail through the neighborhood which will also have public art and pocket gardens.

R.I.T  Public Safety Report: This report documents a Public Safety Assessment of the Rochester neighborhoods which comprise the 14621 neighborhood. The project grew out of a commitment to locally relevant research in the Master’s degree program in Criminal Justice at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Housing:

We provide home repair grants and other assistance, including outreach and information on public safety issues, lead hazards and fire safety. View our available homes through our participation with Greather Rochester Housing Partnership for first time home buyers at www.grhp.org

Also available is the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA). www.naca.com

Education and Youth:

It is our mission to equip the participants with skills that will enable them to use media equipment and interact with neighborhood folks with the objective to obtain stories and/or documentaries to broaden their scope of community involvement. Not to mention how they can impact what we do here at G14621.
